Creating a Home that Embraces Nature and Camping

Camping at home is no longer a dream with the innovative residential house design, "Come to Camp," created by Hsin-Hung Wu. Located at the Touqian River in Zubei City, this congregate housing offers stunning architectural conditions that provide breathtaking views, abundant natural light, and fresh air.

The inspiration behind this unique design stems from the desire to bring the essence of camping into everyday life. Wu believes that camping represents a simple and slow-paced lifestyle, where the campfire brings joy and contentment. By integrating the house with its natural surroundings, including natural light, wind, and plants, the design symbolizes a delightful and relaxing mood.

The house spans 256 square meters and features a canopy-like structure supported by eight primary columns. These columns serve as both architectural elements and decorative features, reflecting the laid-back charisma and at-ease life attitude. At night, the home lighting beautifully illuminates the columns, creating a mesmerizing ambiance reminiscent of flaming torches.

One of the design's notable challenges was incorporating plants as an integral part of the house decoration. Delicate plants adorn the central area of the house, placed on exquisite marble surfaces that resemble the house's canopy. The combination of the dapper woodwork and verdant plants intensifies the lush and vibrant atmosphere, making it truly eye-catching.

The "Come to Camp" design offers a home life that is utterly relaxing and simple. It embraces the essence of camping, providing residents with a serene and at-ease living experience. Completed in October 2018 in Hsinchu City, Taiwan, this design showcases the perfect blend of nature, architecture, and lifestyle.

This exceptional design was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in 2019 in the category of Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design. This recognition highlights the design's practicality, innovation, and adherence to professional and industrial requirements.
